Trickle

Woodland Park Proposal for a 3-D Typographic Sculpture

Woodland Park is one of Houston's oldest parks located close to downtown and framing Little White Oak Bayou. This large-scale typographic proposal for the park amphitheater addresses a need to create a place for the surrounding community to collect and engage. Playing off of the experience of the trickling of light and sound through the trees, the typographic form of the word 'trickle' would be cut from the roof of the stage, allowing natural light to filter through and projecting the shadow of the word onto the stage. Included in the proposal packet is a booklet, a three-dimensional model and a poster.
